Drones do not hover in one place because they are affected by external factors such as wind, air currents, and changes in air pressure. These factors can cause the drone to drift or move around even when the pilot is trying to keep it in one position. Additionally, the drone's internal sensors and GPS system may not be able to maintain a perfectly stable position, leading to small movements and adjustments in its hovering. Overall, the combination of external influences and limitations in the drone's technology prevent it from hovering in one place with absolute precision. **
